The schedule of the main events in 2008 are:
1) the Northern Table's Boucan on Rathlin Island on June 14th. Rathlin lies 6 miles off the North East Coast and is only 16 miles from the Mull of Kintyre in Scotland
. Rathlin was the first place in Ireland to be ravaged by the Norsemen in the year of Our Lord 793 ;
2)The Southern Table willl hold a Boucan in Baltimore, Co. Cork on the weekend
of July 19th. It has a fine harbour and is well known to sailors from England, Brittany, Normandy and France. The
National Zaff was held there in 2007;
3) the National Zaffarancho will be on the island of InisBofin on the weekend
of August 1st. Inis Bofin lies 5 miles off the coast of Connemara,
Co. Galway and is only 2,600 miles from Boston, Mass. It also has a fine
harbour, guarded by an old fort. There are three good hotels. Inis Bofin was the second place in Ireland to be ravaged by
the Norsemen in 793 A.D.
